Eloy Caudet mixing in the studio

Eloy Caudet

Music Producer & Sound Engineer

Eloy Caudet is the founder of the studio Wood and Fire. He studied audio engineering at Akademie Media in Renaissance Studio in Cologne, one of the most renowned recording studios in Germany.

He then started his own recording studio and has since worked with artists from all over the world. He produces his own music, mainly in the reggae and hip-hop genres.

He enjoys writing about music, especially about gear. He loves buying new "toys" for his studio and spends hours researching products.

Experience

Eloy has been playing electric bass and trumpet since he was 9 years old, but through his many productions he also knows his way around guitar, piano and drums. In his youth he also studied music theory for four years, because he played trumpet in an orchestra and had to read music.

A lot of equipment had to be bought to set up his studio, which is based around a large Soundcraft Ghost 32 console and can record a full live band. There were also a lot of bad purchases - he started this blog in part to help other producers avoid the mistakes he had made.
