Table of contents

The promotion starts on April 2nd and ends on April 11th or while supplies last. You can find deals in the categories Studio & DJ, Guitars & Basses, PA & Lighting, Software, Keyboards & Synths and Instruments. And there are indeed some bargains that can be very interesting. In the following list, I have included what I consider to be the best deals.

Swissonic X8

These relatively new 3-way speakers from Swissonic, Thomann's own brand, sound very good and well balanced, with a very good frequency response down to 30 Hz (although the product description states a very conservative 40 Hz).

No wonder, since an 8″ woofer provides the deep bass. There is also a 4.5″ midrange and a 1″ tweeter to keep the sound linear across the frequency spectrum. Interestingly, the midrange and tweeter can be rotated 90 degrees to place the speakers horizontally.

For relatively little money, you get very good semi-professional 3-way speakers that would normally cost five times as much from other brands, and for the price, these speakers are supposed to sound really good.

t.akustik Vocal Head Booth

This vocal booth is the ideal solution for home studios that do not have perfect acoustics, but still want to record vocals with large-diaphragm microphones. Measuring 53 x 54 x 75 cm, it is relatively large and therefore not too cramped. It is made of 40 mm polyester, which provides adequate insulation on the outside and absorption on the inside.

With a built-in holder for the microphone spider, a magnetic holder for lyrics or sheet music, and a small light, you have everything you need for perfect home recording at a fraction of the cost of optimizing the acoustics of a room. So if you're recording at home, this booth is well worth considering.

AKAI Professional MPK 225

This little MIDI keyboard from Akai is awesome - it's very small, with only 25 keys, but they're full size and semi-weighted. This makes playing much more comfortable than with the mini keys that are usually built into such small controllers.

Plus 8 velocity-sensitive pads, 8 programmable knobs, playback controls, and more ways to control your DAW. There's even a built-in mini-display! And the keyboard is incredibly good, as you would expect from Akai.

So if you're looking for a small MIDI keyboard that has the features of a big controller, but is still portable, the MPK 225 is a very good choice.
